Jamie Hancock wins Final Event of the British Wave Tour!

This last weekend the final event of the British wave tour was held in Cornwall. The conditions at this Cornwall Wave Classic proved to be pretty epic with logo to mast high waves and side off wind: an ideal forecast for Gwithian Beach. Tabou/Gaastra teamrider Jamie Hancock won the event and checks in to celebrate.

Sarah-Quita Offringa (Starboard / Gaastra / Mystic) sailed a cool set of races throughout the week to secure the women’s world slalom title and her second world title in 2011. The stunning bay of Alacati (Turkey) provided six days of incredible slalom conditions for the final showdown. The PWA’s elite slalom sailors were treated to a whole variety of wind speeds ensuring the sailors were tested to the edge of their ability as they raced down the four mark downwind course, and only the most consistent sailors shone through.
